Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Best Parenting Quotes About Raising Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi - Us Weekly Posted: 13 Jun 2020 12:09 PM PDT An inside look into the famous family of five! Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been gushing about their three kids since becoming parents. The Grammy winners welcomed their eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, in 2012. She became a big sister five years later when twins Sir and Rumi arrived. The couple "do everything" with their trio, a source told Us Weekly exclusively in June 2019. "Jay-Z and Beyoncé have nannies for the kids and their assistants help out too, but they mostly try and bring the kids everywhere," the insider revealed at the time. Blue always travels with Beyoncé and comes with her when she's working. The twins are getting older and Beyoncé has been taking them out a little more too." The source went on to call the family "tight-knit," adding, "Jay-Z does a lot of daddy duty stuff and he takes Blue to school and things like that." When it comes to disciplining her children, the former Destiny's Child member doesn't believe in "spankings," Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles Lawson, told Us exclusively in June 2019. "[She] just really talk[s] to the kids and reason[s] with them," the fashion designer explained to Us. "I can say, [she] pretty much has my parenting!" As for Queen B's dad, Mathew Knowles told Us exclusively in May 2020 about Blue, Sir and Rumi's distinct personalities. "Blue Ivy is just so incredible and reminds me of Beyoncé so much," the Destiny's Child: The Untold Story author told Us at the time. "Sir, he just wants his world to himself. [His twin sister], Rumi, reminds me of [my daughter] Solange [Knowles]." The pair's eldest has "already" proven she plans to follow in her parents' musical footsteps. "I think we all see that in her," Mathew explained to Us. "Just like I saw it in Solange and Beyoncé when they were growing up. They're just about the passion because when we live in our passions, we don't have to work a day in our lives. … I just want them to find their passions and put in the work ethic and they'll be successful." Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy earns first BET Award nomination - Metro.co.uk Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:25 AM PDT Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy just keeps on winning at life as the youngster has received her first BET Award nomination. The eight-year-old, who Beyonce shares with husband Jay Z, is up for the BET HER Award which recognises traditional R&B and neo soul artists, for her song Brown Skin Girl from the Lion King: The Gift soundtrack. Blue is in good company as she's also competing against the likes of Alicia Keys, Lizzo, Ciara, Lupita Nyong'o, Rapsody, City Girls, Missy Elliott and Layton Greene. Brown Skin Girl, which also features Beyonce, Wizkid and Saint Jhn, sees Blue opening and closing the track singing: 'Brown skin girl/Your skin just like pearls/The best thing in the world/I'll never trade you for anybody else.' Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Beyonce, 38, has received three other nominations – best female R&B/pop artist, album of the year for Homecoming: The Live Album and best movie for her show-stopping Netflix concert film Homecoming, which charted the road to her historic Coachella performance. It's not the first time Blue has received recognition for her feature on Brown Skin Girl. The youngster won the Ashford & Simpson's songwriter's award at the Soul Train Awards in 2019, as well as the outstanding duo, group or collaboration gong at the NAACP Image Awards earlier this year. Addressing her granddaughter's contribution to The Lion King: The Gift, Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles-Lawson recently told Entertainment Tonight: 'Oh my god. That album is incredible. 'I can't get enough of it and, of course, I'm not biased but that was wonderful and for Blue to be a part of it, it's amazing.' In February, it was revealed that Blue Ivy has already amassed one million monthly Spotify listeners despite never releasing an album or solo music. She made her music debut just two days after she was born in January 2012, when Jay Z featured her newborn cries on his track Glory. With the guest appearance, Blue became the youngest person ever on a Billboard chart. Since then, Blue's sporadic music career has seen her feature on Beyonce's 2014 song Blue and Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing, which appeared on the Homecoming soundtrack last year. Jay Z, 50, has also given his daughter a guest spot on Blue's Freestyle/We Family, on which she rapped the famous line: 'Never seen a ceiling in my whole life, Everything I seen, everything is rotten.' Posted: 09 Jun 2020 05:49 PM PDT Oprah Winfrey is known for giving the best advice out there about anything and everything. From personal development to relationships, Oprah seems to know just about everything there is to know. Beyoncé has had several thought-provoking chats with Oprah over the years, and Oprah's wise advice to Beyoncé just might have saved her relationship with husband Jay-Z. Amid allegations of cheating and other relationship challenges, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's marriage could have dissolved like those of a plethora of other Hollywood couples. Thanks to Oprah, this strong couple is here to stay. Who are Beyonce and Jay-Z?Beyoncé Knowles Carter has worn many hats throughout her career in the music industry. She gained fame as the lead singer of Destiny's Child during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and she spent the next decade collaborating with Jay-Z and establishing her prominence as a solo artist. Her most recent projects include performing at Coachella and the Grammys, starring as the voice of Nala in Disney's recent live-action remake of The Lion King, and creating the Netflix documentary/concert film Homecoming, which highlights some of her most influential accomplishments. Shawn Corey Carter, also known as Jay-Z, is a rapper and songwriter. He began performing in the mid-1990s and has since amassed several records: he is the world's first billionaire hip hop performer, as well as the wealthiest American musician and the fifth wealthiest African American. Beyoncé and Jay-Z's relationship has spanned nearly two decadesRELATED: How Did Jay-Z and Beyoncé Mend Their Marriage After He Cheated on Her? The pop star and the rapper met when they were seated next to each other on a plane in 2000. Although they hit it off the first time they met, their relationship started off slowly with a year and a half of phone conversations. From there, they started creating music together in 2002 and finally began dating in 2003. They spent the next five years together before their 2008 wedding. Though their relationship has not been without difficulties, they have outlasted many well-known couples. Few Hollywood couples withstand the test of time of over a decade of marriage in the spotlight, and Oprah once gave Beyoncé some sage advice that strengthened her relationship with Jay-Z. Oprah gave Beyonce some relationship-saving adviceOprah Winfrey is known for handing out life-changing advice. From self-help and self-care to relationship advice, no one does it better than Oprah. The "Queen of All Media" gave Beyoncé a tip that just might have saved her relationship with Jay-Z: don't tell the whole world who you're dating. Keeping relationship drama on the down low can be challenging enough for the average young adult in today's world of social media, online dating, and constant connectivity, and it's nearly impossible for some of the biggest names in the music industry. Amidst allegations of cheating and other relationship challenges, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's commitment to keeping their private life fairly private has gone a long way toward building a relationship that has lasted for so many years. Even many details about the couple's wedding were never leaked until they were finally discussed near Beyoncé and Jay-Z's tenth anniversary. Keeping new babies, personal struggles and other news quiet has given them the opportunity to work through them together like any other couple without the added challenge of the world watching. By going the extra mile to keep their personal lives to themselves and out of the press, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's relationship has outlasted that of many celebrity couples. No couple is immune to arguments, misunderstandings, and other relationship challenges, and couples whose every move is broadcasted to the world are no different. Oprah's wise advice to Beyoncé just might be the key to keeping any healthy relationship thriving. |
