Watching the St Louis rams and Chicago bears game the other day one had to notice how regressed Nick Foles has become as a starting quarterback in the NFL. The guy totally sucks and if =t was not too long ago that the numbers he put up made many to predict that he would be a longtime elite quarterback. Foles would struggle in Philadelphia and then find himself down in St Louis this year and thus far it has been awful. The performance he has shown this year is embarrassing as he ranks last in just about every category and the rams decided to finally bench his ass this week. many executives in the front office of the Rams are scratching their heads wondering why they made this trade and decide to have this geek as the starting quarterback in St Louis.
The team has been this bad that many in los Angeles are second guessing their attempts to bring the Rams back to los Angeles.This exposes the problem with American professional football is that it relys too much on the leadership and play of one position for a team and that is the quarterback. One of the things about Australian Rules football is that everyone is pretty much equal and has to perform at the same rate on the field and a Nick Foles would never find himself on the roster on]f oe of these teams. Clearly all the big-money quarterbacks in the National Football League would never make any Australian football team let alone the North Melbourne Kangaroos.
Foles like most football players doesn't have the combination of endurance and strength to endure an Aussie game and is just lucky to have a sport that he can have a bunch of fats guys block as he throws. Too bad for Saint Loo he can't even do that right.
