Do you love wearing T-shirts?

My husband loves collecting T-shirts more than any other thing in this world, as if he won't get any other T-shirt anywhere again. I was never much into T-shirts before, but his interest got me hooked to giving T-shirts their due importance now. Since ages he was searching for a "Superman T-shirt" and was not able to get a hold of it. Because of his obsession, even I was so much subconsciously searching for this t-shirt that when I saw it at Germany in a small shop, I immediately grabbed it for him without looking at the price, and it was a good 30 Euros (not at all cheap for a normal "Made in Bangkok" unbranded T-shirt!).

Anyways, so you see the impact a T-shirt can make on our lives. Apart from its comfort factor and clothing, what I feel that impacts us the most about T-shirts are - the slogans they sport. I really feel that T-shirts have a great power to project your allegiance, your thoughts and your beliefs to the outside world.

While browsing through the web I came across an interesting story about T-shirts, which I am sharing it here:

On a trip back from the Middle East, Iraqi blogger and activist Raed Jarrar was not allowed to  board a flight at JFK Airport in New York because he was wearing a T-shirt that said 'We will not be silent' in both English and Arabic. Airport security forced him to change his T-shirt saying that it was like "going into a bank with a T-shirt reading “I am a bank robber".

I think now we understand the reasons why music bands, clubs and political parties keep launching their own T-shirt series every season. Sporting a logo or a slogan on a T-shirt can subconsciously manipulate the thought process and emotions of the wearer and the viewers too. The reason why we all keep on encountering that whenever there is some or the other event being organized by a particular company or political party, they give T-shirts endorsing their brands to the public, which they continue to keep on enhancing and updating depending on the current scenarios related to their niche and environment e.g. Lady Gaga T-shirts 2012, Metallica T-shirts, FIFA T-shirts, sarah palin 2012 t shirt etc.

So, after knowing the “Power of T-shirts”, here is a poll for you now. Apart from wearing T-shirt as a fashion accessory or night suit, what else would you love to sport your T-shirt for? Your choices are:

1) Your favorite political party.

2) Your favorite Music Band

3) Your favorite movie/sports/movie star/sports star.

4) Your website

5) Just yourself!

6) Some other crazy stuff!

Let me know your choices in your comments below.
