It's New Year's Eve and we are all looking ahead to the new year. Pantone, the global color authority, has announced the 2017 Color of the Year: Greenery. It evokes the words regenerate, refresh, revitalize and renew. According to Pantone, "Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose." A perfect way to begin a new year.
The gemstone that most closely mirrors the color is peridot. The lime-green gem is a refreshing, zesty color.
Peridot jewelry is a great way to add the color of the year to your wardrobe. If you don't want to wear greenery from head to toe, add a peridot necklace or earrings for a pop of lively color. Peridot is one of the few gemstones that exists in only one color but it can be found in shades from pale green, olive-green to bright lime.
